Attorney Jewel White takes office as first vice president of The Florida Bar Foundation

MAITLAND, Fla. — Attorney Jewel White took office July 1 as first vice president of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide charitable organization whose mission is to provide greater access to justice.

An attorney with the Pinellas County Attorney’s Office, White is board certified in City, County & Local Government law. In addition to the general governmental representation she provides the County, she also represents the Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections and Canvassing Board.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in sociology and master’s degree in urban and regional planning from the University of Florida, and her law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.

White is a former member of the Florida Supreme Court/Florida Bar Standing Committee on Pro Bono and participated in the discussion leading up to the publication of the 2007 report, “Pro Bono: Looking Back, Moving Forward.” She is a past president of The Florida Bar Young Lawyer’s Division and former member of the Florida Bar Board of Governors. White has served as president of the Clearwater Bar Association, a director of the Clearwater Bar Foundation. She currently serves as Chair of the Florida Bar’s Council of Sections.

White, whose term on the board began July 1, is also a Fellow of The Florida Bar Foundation.
