Miami attorney Yara Lorenzo reappointed to The Florida Bar Foundation board

yara_lorenzoMAITLAND, Fla. — Miami attorney Yara Lorenzo has been appointed by the Florida Supreme Court to the board of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide charitable organization whose mission is to provide greater access to justice.

Lorenzo is a member of the litigation, arbitration, and employment practice group of Hogan Lovells. She focuses her practice on international commercial litigation and arbitration where she has represented foreign and domestic clients in various industries throughout the United States and Latin America. She also focuses on government investigations and internal review of compliance procedures, training and counseling for clients.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Brown University and her law degree from St. Thomas University School of Law. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Lorenzo served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. James Lawrence King of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and the Hon. Peter T. Fay of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.

Lorenzo also serves on the board of the Cuban American Bar Association. Her three-year term on The Florida Bar Foundation board began July 1. She was previously appointed to the board by The Florida Bar.
