Orlando attorney Matthew Brenner takes office as president-elect of The Florida Bar Foundation

MAITLAND, Fla. — Orlando attorney Matthew G. Brenner took office July 1 as president-elect of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide charitable organization whose mission is to provide greater access to justice.

Brenner was first appointed to the Foundation’s board in 2008 and has served on its development, finance and audit, executive, and improvements in the administration of justice committees.
A partner with Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed, P.A., where he has practiced for 30 years, Brenner specializes in the areas of real estate and banking litigation. He is a graduate of Colgate University and earned his law degree from the College of William & Mary.

Through the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, Brenner has been involved in a variety of pro bono cases, most recently assisting as a Guardian ad Litem attorney for abused and neglected children. The Orange County Bar Association has recognized him for his pro bono service several times. In 2006, Brenner received The Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award for the Ninth Judicial Circuit, and in 2012 the Orange County Bar Association recognized him with the William Trickel, Jr., Professionalism Award.

Brenner is admitted to practice in all three U.S. District Courts in Florida; the U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th Circuit; and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a Florida Bar Foundation Fellow.
