John Cardillo

MAITLAND, Fla. – Naples attorney John P. Cardillo has been reappointed by the Florida Supreme Court to a three-year term on the board of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide charitable organization whose mission is to provide greater access to justice.

A past president of the Collier County Bar Association, Cardillo was a founding director and president of Collier County Legal Aid and previously served as a member of The Florida Bar Foundation’s Legal Assistance for the Poor subcommittee from 1990 to 1991. He served on The Florida Bar Board of Governors from 1992 to 2002 and served as a commissioner on the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission for six years from 2005 to 2010. He received The Florida Bar’s G. Kirk Haas Humanitarian Award in 2001, and also has served on the Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission. Cardillo has been president of the Naples Area Chamber of Commerce, the Neighborhood Health Clinic, and the Naples Area Y.M.C.A., among other charities and civic organizations. He received the Collier County Judiciary’s Lion of the Law Award for professionalism, the Collier County Bar’s Lifetime Achievement Award, the Naples Daily News 2005 Outstanding Citizen Award, and the Jefferson Award for Public Service. He is a Fellow of The Florida Bar Foundation.

A partner and founder of Cardillo, Keith & Bonaquist, P.A., Cardillo has practiced law in Naples since 1972. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Furman University and his law degree at the University of South Carolina Law School following graduate school at West Virginia University.

Cardillo, a Florida Bar Foundation Fellow, will begin his second term July 1.
