Director of Finance and Administration
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The Director of Finance/Administration shall report to the Executive Director and shall have responsibility for the hiring, retention, supervision, review, and evaluation of staff in the finance and administration departments. S/he will perform the following essential functions:

2. Performs general fiscal oversight and ensures the fiscal integrity of the Foundation and the Endowment Trust including proper recording and reporting of all financial transactions, preparation and analysis of financial statements, and maintenance of bank and investment accounts.
3. Ensures timely preparation and submission of all required Organizational Filings reported to the Board.
4. Oversees and supervises the management of cash-flow, allocations/projections, program expenses including grants, general and administrative expenses, program-related expenses, fundraising and investment accounts.
5. Oversees and coordinates the budgetary function:
6. Oversees, prepares, coordinates, and reviews all audit schedules and reports in connection with the annual independent audit and tax returns. S/he is responsible for the timely completion of the annual audit presented at the December Board meeting and the timely completion and submission of the tax returns.
7. Monitors and communicates with our investment advisors and ensures compliance with the Foundation’s and the Endowment Trust’s investment policies.
8. Reviews all grantee financial reports (including staffing budgets, carryover requests, and audit reports) under the Foundation’s grantee evaluation guidelines in collaboration with the grants department and reports results to the Executive Director.
9. At the direction of the Executive Director, serves as staff liaison to the Audit Committee, Budget & Finance committee, and Investment Committee of the Foundation and to other related groups/organizations including the Endowment Trustees.
10. Other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director
Primary Qualifications
The salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 (depending on experience and qualifications), with health insurance, retirement benefits and paid annual leave.
