- Florida has let its eviction moratorium expire as of October 1. There is currently a nationwide eviction ban (not including foreclosures) issued by the CDC which is set to end December 31. However, this ban only stops the final order from being entered; it does not stop landlords from filing eviction actions in court nor does it stop the proceedings prior to the final stage of the process. In addition, the only way to qualify for this eviction protection is to proactively file this declaration form with your landlord: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/downloads/declaration-form.pdf).
