Jacksonville lawyer Brian E. Currie appointed to Foundation board

Jacksonville lawyer Brian E. Currie has been appointed by The Florida Bar to a three-year term on the board of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide charitable organization whose mission is to provide greater access to justice.

Currie is a lawyer at his firm Currie & Currie, where he focuses his practice on medical negligence, litigation, personal injury and wrongful death cases.

Currie earned his juris doctor at Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.

He is a member of the Jacksonville chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has also served on the Board of Governors of the Jacksonville Bar Association and as the chairman of a Fourth Judicial Court Grievance Committee. In addition, Currie has served as a mentor in a juvenile justice program of the State Attorney’s Office.

The Florida Bar Foundation accomplishes its mission by funding programs that expand and improve representation and advocacy on behalf of low-income persons in civil legal matters, improve the fair and effective administration of justice, and promote public service among lawyers.

In December 2023, The Florida Bar Foundation changed its name to FFLA. Posts prior to this date contain our former name.
