Jessica Brown, Director of Communications

As director of communications for FFLA, Jessica Brown is responsible for overseeing the organization’s branding, media relations, publications, social media and website. She works to increase public awareness of FFLA, its mission and its impact to generate support for the civil legal needs of Floridians who cannot afford an attorney. She ensures consistent and effective messaging from FFLA management, board members and partners, while supporting the communications needs of the development, grants and pro bono departments. Jessica also manages Florida Pro Bono Matters and various statewide pro bono efforts.

Prior to joining The Florida Bar Foundation, now FFLA, in 2017, Jessica managed marketing and operations for Hospice University, an online educational platform for hospice professionals. She also worked as senior communications coordinator for Hospice of the Comforter, one of the largest nonprofit hospices in the country, where she advocated for hospice care by producing media kits and marketing plans, maintaining its website and chairing its Employee Charitable Fund.

Jessica graduated with honors from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s of science in public relations.
