ORLANDO, Fla. — Lakeland attorney Stephen R. Senn has been appointed by The Florida Bar to serve a three-year term on the board of The Florida Bar Foundation, a statewide charitable organization that works on behalf of Florida’s legal profession to expand access to justice.
Board certified in appellate practice, Senn is a shareholder with Peterson & Myers, P.A., where his practice includes appeals and federal litigation, as well as employment and business disputes. Senn earned his bachelor’s and juris doctorate degrees at Florida State University. Senn joined the board of Florida Rural Legal Services in 1998 and served as its president for three years. A founding member of the board of directors of the Florida Equal Justice Center, Senn also served as that organization’s president for three years.
He has been a member of the 10th Circuit Pro Bono Committee since 1999 and has had an active pro bono practice throughout his 20-year career. Senn said his interest in serving The Florida Bar Foundation stems from his continued commitment to “shrinking the justice gap.”
Senn, a Florida Bar Foundation Fellow, began his term July 1.
