As IOTA program director for The Florida Bar Foundation, Lushawn Phillips is responsible for overseeing the education and operation of the Interest on Trust Accounts (IOTA) program for lawyers, law firms and participating eligible institutions. She also serves as a member of the Joint Resource Development/Banking Committee for the National Association of IOLTA Programs.
Lushawn ensures compliance with the IOTA Rule, specifically the interest rate requirement for participating eligible institutions. She also provides guidance to attorneys and banks regarding IOTA accounts.
Prior to joining the Foundation in 1995, she served in various capacities at Union Bank of Florida, including head bookkeeper, bank operations specialist and consumer loan representative.
