Senn receives 2019 President’s Award for Excellence

Foundation Second Vice President Stephen R. Senn received the Foundation’s 2019 President’s Award for Excellence. Senn begins his term as the first vice president of The Florida Bar Foundation’s board of directors on July 1. He began serving on the board in 2012 and is currently the chair of the investment committee. Steve also serves on the Advisory Committee on Local Rules for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, the Polk Academies Executive Advisory Board, and the Tenth Circuit Pro Bono Committee.

Senn is a past president of the board of directors for Florida Rural Legal Services and the Florida Equal Justice Center. He is a three-time recipient of The Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award. He is a Florida Bar Foundation Fellow and a member of the Foundation’s Gold Lifetime Giving Society. Senn, a senior shareholder with Peterson & Myers, P.A. in Lakeland, is also an adjunct professor at Florida Southern College, where he teaches an annual Supreme Court seminar.

He is being honored with the President’s Award for Excellence for his steady and dependable leadership and his willingness to go above and beyond his duties to ensure transitions are seamless. Steve represents the Foundation with the utmost professionalism and his even-keeled approach to challenges is valued. Steve’s experience and commitment to public service are a tremendous asset to The Florida Bar Foundation.
